Description
Magellanic penguins are sea birds in the penguin family (Spehniscidae). They live all over the south coast of South America. Outwardly, they are very similar to the black-footed penguin and the Humboldt penguin. The Magellanic penguin can be recognised by the double band on the upper chest, which other penguin species do not have. This young adult Magellanic penguin is mounted in a standing position.
